Although the Pandemic is far from over, Osteopaths have now been given instruction that they can re-open for face to face consultations. This is a long way off business as normal for us but we are excited to announce that providing you pass all the requirements required in our telephone screening service we will be able to offer you face to face treatments. If you fall into a category that does not allow us to see you, we will still be offering help and advice by telephone or email which can be followed up with videos and exercises if necessary.

What does this mean for you?

From the 1st June 2020 if you would like to see us please contact your practitioner (details available on the website) by email or telephone. Due to limited reception cover at Ingledale during this time it is best not to call reception directly as your messages may not be picked up until the following day. Your practitioner will organise a telephone call with you to go through a screening process. This will involve questions on your health and wellbeing particularly related to COVID-19. It will also check that you are not extremely vulnerable during this COVID-19 pandemic. If we are happy that you can be seen we will make sure you understand the risks of face to face treatment at this time and if you still want to proceed we will book you an appointment.

What precautions are we taking?

In order to keep both you and our staff safe we have put into place a number of changes to the way we operate during this time. The main reception area will remain closed to the public. We ask you to arrive just before your appointment time and wait in the car park or in your car for your therapist to come and collect you. You will then be provided with a mask which we ask you to put on before you enter for your appointment. Your therapist will take you straight through to the consultation room (please use the provided alcohol gel on entering the building).

Your practitioner may look slightly different to usual but i promise they are the same lovely and caring people! For both your and your practitioners protection your practitioner will be wearing as a minimum a mask and apron. Practitioners may also be wearing gloves and a visor or eye protection if they need to do certain techniques within your treatment.

We are leaving space between each client to allow us to thoroughly clean the treatment rooms and change our PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) that we will be using. We are also following our normal protocol of washing our hands thoroughly before and after each client.

We are monitoring our own health carefully for your safety. If we develop or show any signs of COVID-19 ourselves we will contact you and re-arrange your appointment. We ask you to do the same. If you feel unwell and/or develop any signs of COVID-19 we ask you to cancel your appointment, please do not come to the clinic. All you need to do is call or email your practitioner and we will not charge you the usual late cancellation charge.

The owner of Ingledale has also put in steps to ensure your safety at the practice. This includes a rigorous daily cleaning schedule but it also means that our client toilets will be unavailable at this time so please make sure you go before you come for your appointment.

How can i pay for my treatment?

We want to minimise the handling of cash and cheques between patients. We are therefore asking for payment in advance by BACS (please let your practitioner know when booking if this is not possible for any reason and we will do our best to come up with an alternative). Your practitioner will let you know details for the transfer at the time of booking. If for any reason you can not attend your appointment we will fully refund the appointment fee.

Appointments are currently £60 (new and current clients).
